The Wood Brothers @ The Roseland Ballroom
The Wood Brothers warmed up for Trey Anastasio last night at The Roseland Ballroom. Their set was a mixture of both originals and standard folk/blues songs. The band is made up of Chris Wood of Medeski, Martin, and Wood and his brother Oliver on guitar and vocals. Chris is an amazing bass player and brings his signature sound to this side project. Oliver from the group King Johnson is a great blues/folk singer song writer. This project shows a lot of promise. They have a new album coming out in the spring on Blue Note produced by John Medeski.

Are you sure that wasn't GE Smith of the Saturday Night Live Band? I'm pretty sure Chris and GE are collaborating.
